Our three-day public workshops are a great way to get an in-person, intensive Axure training course from one of Axure’s (few) recommended trainers. You might even want to drive or fly in for them as space is very limited.
Can’t make it to our classes? Some of our public workshops are given live and remotely. Log in from anywhere and join us for days of Axure training.
See our curriculum for full details of both days.

General Info and “Fine Print”
Bring your laptop with Axure loaded and build a prototype along with your trainer. If you or your team do not yet have a licensed copy of Axure, your workshop registration form will offer discounted licenses available for purchase. Trial versions are also OK.
Who Should Attend
This workshop would be great for anybody new or relatively new to Axure as well as people looking to learn more intermediate/advanced prototyping skills.
- Interaction designers, visual designers, product designers.
- Product managers, product owners.
- UX and Creative leads, managers, directors.
- Anyone who is evaluating Axure or already using it.
Not a beginner to Axure?
Our classes are for you too. You may have to suffer through some things you already know. But so far, EVERY beginner or intermediate Axure user has been thrilled to learn new things in our classes. They’ve also been excited about learning better and more efficient ways to do things they thought they knew.
Plus with our classes now being on Axure 8, if version 8 is new to you, you’ll learn some new tricks that Axure 8 offers that 7 and earlier versions couldn’t do.
Prerequisites for our Core Skills workshop
None really! We want to welcome everybody at all levels. You should know what x and y coordinates are. Other than that, our typically trainee is someone who opened Axure, looked at it, got scared, and closed it.
Payment, Cancellation, & Other Terms
Most companies are willing to pay for Axure training as part of personal and career development. Check with the boss! This might be covered.
Early bird pricing ends one month before Day 1 of the workshop starts.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
If you can substitute your registration for someone else, you will not be charged a cancellation fee (nor will you receive a refund).
If you cancel on or before 1 month from the class start date, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 1 month of the class start date, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
Venue Capacity & Free Food
We hold our San Francisco training in board rooms with comfy work chairs. San Francisco events sell out at 11 attendees. Vegas events sell out at 15 attendees.
The show goes on even if we have one attendee. Buy your flights and book your hotel rooms with confidence!
Attending in person? The training facility offers free coffee, tea, and water.
Ptype will treat you to lunch each day. We’ll order each morning based on what people feel like eating and what matches everybody’s dietary needs.
Post-Training & Completion Certificate
You will get a copy of the Axure file your trainer builds. You will also receive one code that will give you free access to our Axure 8 video series online.
This one code is to share with those from your company who took our training. This is in lieu of us recording a video of our session and assuming people want to shuffle through hours of unchaptered video to find a certain lesson. Our Axure 8 video course is broken into short chapters and lessons that will make refreshing memories much easier.
If you find you need additional training later, we can quote live, remote training as an optional add-on after on site training. You are welcome to fly us back if that would better serve your needs.
Free Follow-Up Training Time
We want each attendee to be truly happy with our workshop training. We want to reinforce learning and help troubleshoot any mistakes attendees are making once they are building with Axure. Therefore, we are offering each company in attendance one hour of free remote training (live via an online remote collaboration system) any time after the workshop. If you received training with others from your company, this hour is to share.
Certificate of Completion
Each attendee who completes a workshop will receive a certificate of completion from Ptype.
Axure doesn’t allow any company to give a certificate that says something like, “Certified Axure Professional,” so the best we can do is a completion certificate from our company.
Our registration system will automatically give discounts based on the size of your group:
$50/person discount for groups of 2-4 or more registering together.
$100/person discount for groups of 5 or more registering together.
3-Day Workshop in San Francisco
Thursday 20 & Friday 21 July 2017
Attend remotely from anywhere by dialing into our Join.Me screen share and conference call.
We suggest you have two monitors or one large one you can split. That way you can follow what your trainer is doing AND work along with her without having to flip between applications.
Early Bird: $850/person
Late Reg: $1050/person
About Your TrainerPtype principal and your trainer, Debbie Levitt, is an Interaction Designer and Information Architect (when not training people on Axure). As someone using Axure for work nearly daily since early 2011, her instruction style incorporates her experiences, tips, and best practices. She has created customized curricula and trained individuals, startups, agencies, and corporations.
Debbie's first public training course was in 1995 when she was 23 years old. She taught school teachers how to build web pages with HTML and why they're not supposed to steal images off other people's websites. Debbie has been teaching Axure since 2012 and is proud to be one of the few Axure-recommended trainers on the planet.
