I follow my adopted home town of Oro Valley, Arizona on Facebook. It’s usually just a list of events, but it feels like home to me, so I watch them go by my news feed. Typically, there’s a talk going on at the library… or come beat back the buffel grass… or the art expo in the park is coming up. Happy little town things.
Yesterday, they posted this:
Teens: Listen 2 your favorite or new CDs in surround sound. Bring ur friends 2 relax and hangout in the TeenZone at the Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja Dr., for Teen Music on Tuesday, February 15 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the TeenZone.
Evidently, if you are talking to teens, you have 2 talk 2 teenz. ur in the teen zone. And the teen zone requires special (bad) spelling.
Come on, Town of Oro Valley. We have SMART teens. Let’s treat them like they know the word “to,” and don’t need to use 2.
